Mentorship Descriptions & Learning Objectives

Phase 1

Exos Performance Mentorship Phase 1: Elevating Human Performance
Short Description

Phase 1 introduces you to the Exos performance methodology and the Exos Training System.

Designed for practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of performance training, from coaches and personal trainers to sports scientists and physical therapists, this four-day mentorship is the first step in immersing yourself in the unique methodology and systems used to help some of the world’s top athletes achieve success. Whether your goal is to enhance the training programs of professional athletes or to apply these principles to broader populations, the course provides a comprehensive foundation in the Exos approach to performance improvement.

Get immersed in the Exos Training System and learn directly from experienced coaches who implement these methodologies in their daily practices.

Get immersed in the Exos Training System that is used to help top athletes achieve success.

Learning Objectives
  • Identify the 8 training components of the Exos Training System

  • Understand the difference between a training system and a training method

  • Provide a theoretical rationale for the importance of rotation in human movement

  • Understand each of the elements within the Position, Patter, Power model

  • Identify and describe each of the components within Pillar Preparation

  • Understand the rationale behind the organization and the components of Movement Preparation

  • Identify the critical concepts that conform plyometrics and plyometric training programming variables within the Exos Training System

  • Identify and describe each of the fundamental components within linear speed and multidirectional speed training modules

  • Understand the framework that Exos uses to create movement-based training programs

  • Identify and describe the main physiological factors underpinning Energy Systems Development and how these can be applied to elicit the desired performance outcome

  • Identify and describe different types of stress loads and learn how to program recovery specific to them.

Phase 2

Exos Performance Mentorship Phase 2: Advanced Coaching and Performance Strategies

Short Description

Phase 2 further explores Exos methodology, delving deeper into the art and science of coaching and its practical application on the field or in the gym.

Designed for practitioners who have completed Phase 1 or the Exos Performance Specialist (XPS) Online Certification, this four-day mentorship is ideal for coaches, trainers, and sports scientists seeking to advance their coaching skills, deliver impactful instruction and feedback, and design training programs that lead athletes to achieve their highest potential. Blending theoretical knowledge and practical application, Phase 2 emphasizes movement error identification and correction through the Technical, Error, Correction (TEC) Model; strength and power development; and Energy Systems Development (ESD) programming to target the physiological needs of athletes.

Join us in Phase 2 to advance your coaching career, deepen your understanding of how to design training and recovery programs, and learn directly from experienced coaches who implement these same skills in their daily practices.

Phase 2 explores coaching science and its application on the field or in the gym to help you effectively instruct, provide feedback, and design training programs to optimize athlete performance.

Learning Objectives
  • Introduction to the the Art and Science of Coaching, focusing on effective instruction, feedback, and practice design

  • Learn the Technical, Error, Correction (TEC) model and its application to all movements including acceleration, linear and multidirectional speed training

  • Explore the difference between open and closed skills through practice design

  • Identify different strength qualities and how to target each of them to enhance performance

  • Explore the difference between extensive and intensive training sessions through practicals

  • Learn the practical application of internal and external instructions

  • Develop comprehensive strength and power programs that address specific athlete needs

  • Explore how to design and implement Energy Systems Development (ESD) programs to elicit different physiological responses and optimize performance and recovery

  • Learn the practical application of the different types of augmented feedback

  • Enhance communication strategies to effectively convey complex ideas and foster athlete development

  • Coach a short training session and receive feedback from peers and lead instructor
